FOURTH DAY

It’s the last day we explore the Adda River. Passing along an ancient route that led to the center of Milan.

FIRST DAY: Up on the hills

The treks awaiting us for these days follow a daisy pattern, all starting from Noor headquarters to explore our fantastic territory between the lake and mountains. Once you arrive at Noor Barn, you’ll meet Martina, Riccardo, and your horses. You’ll embark on a two-hour ride through woodland and beautiful hills. The path will be quite straightforward, with fantastic views of the lake and mountains. A picnic lunch with a breathtaking panorama awaits us. We’ll then continue our ride for another 4 hours through woods, historic farms, until our return to Noor, where you’ll be driven back to your accommodation. For dinner, we’ll take you in a delicious restaurant overlooking the lake.

DAY TWO: Hippie Village & Ghost Town

This is the most challenging day. Departure early in the morning. We’ll have a 4-hour ride towards an ancient and picturesque rural village located at about 670 meters above sea level on the slopes of Mount San Genesio. From here, you can admire panoramic views ranging from the Larian Prealps to the lakes of Brianza, from the Adda River valley to the Orobic hills. The village was inhabited by a hippie community in the ’70s. We’ll have a home-stay lunch at their place. From here, we’ll complete our loop stopping at the Ghost Town of Consonno… you’ll find out more about the Ghost Town once you will be there… suprise!
Tonight, you will be tired and we’ve decided to leave you free for dinner time.

DAY THREE: On the lake

The third day will be spent between the lake and the countryside as we tour Lake Annone, stopping at an ancient private area that once housed an important trotting and galloping horse breeding farm. It later became the home of gauchos, who introduced the Polo discipline here. Galloping on the old training track will be a beautiful experience. We’ll continue our tour in the Brianza heath, stopping to eat in a fine restaurant with a fantastic view on the lake. In the evening, after leaving the horses at home, we’ll have dinner at a local restaurant for an amazing Pizza.

DAY FOUR: “We’d go down to the river”

It’s the last day, and we’ve decided to dedicate it to exploring the Adda River. We’ll ride through a section of the ancient waterway leading to the center of Milan. We’ll stop in the Brivio area, explore it, and leave our horses at a restaurant where we’ll enjoy our final lunch together. We’ll then return to Noor Barn, where we’ll bid farewell, and you’ll be accompanied back to your accommodations.

What to pack for a
 Four day experience

All clothing should be in neutral colors to blend in with the bush (shades of khaki, brown, beige, black, white, or green). We strongly advise opting for hiking boots equipped with Vibram grip soles instead of traditional riding boots. This choice is crucial for navigating paths that involve both ascents and descents, where improper footwear poses a considerable risk.

For unexpected heavy rainfall, we supply wax ponchos designed to shield both you and your saddle. If you tend to get cold, bring an extra layer. We also recommend an outfit for the evening and swimwear. Wearing a helmet is mandatory, and NOOR provides new caps to its clients. If you prefer to bring your own, you are welcome to do so.
