Altavia to Bellagio
horseback! Immerse yourself in the stunning natural landscapes of the Como area, where mountains meet lakes in perfect harmony.
FIRST DAY: The Backbone
The first day is the most challenging, with almost 8 hours in the saddle on demanding trails along the backbone of the Larian Triangle. You will embark on a ride of about four hours to the first mountain lodge of this trip. There, we will have a simple and typical lunch from the local tradition. Afterward, we’ll have another 3 hours of riding to our mountain hut, where we’ll stop for the nights.
DAY TWO: On the Highest Peak
On the second day, we can wake up calmly with breakfast surrounded by nature. We will then set out for a trek with breathtaking views of Lake Como, until we reach the summit of Mount San Primo, the highest peak of the Larian Triangle. We’ll have a picnic in the shade of beech woods. We’ll be in the saddle for about 6 hours. Once back at our accommodation, a pleasant Italian culinary surprise awaits us.
DAY THREE: Relax
The third day will be dedicated to relaxation. In the morning, after a beautiful breakfast, we’ll take an easy horse-trek with a view for a couple of hours. We’ll enjoy a nice lunch on the mountains. In the afternoon, you can decide whether to go for a mountain hike or relax at the ranch – it could be an excellent opportunity to strengthen the bond with your horse.
DAY FOUR: Bellagio
On the last day, wake up early and brace yourselves… we’ll arrive in Bellagio on horseback! Yes, we’ll depart from our refuge located in Pian del Tivano, cross the Valley of Torno, and reach the magical Bellagio, it’s a quite long but calm ride. Once in Bellagio, it will be time to bid farewell to your horses and head to the next destination or stay a few more days to experience the extra activities we have at your disposal! Here, you’ll also find your luggage.

What to pack for a
Four day experience
We recommend wearing neutral-colored clothing to seamlessly blend in with the natural surroundings. For your safety, we highly suggest choosing hiking boots over traditional riding boots, as they provide essential support on uneven terrain, especially when ascending or descending. Wearing the wrong footwear can significantly increase the risk of injury.
In case of sudden heavy rain, we provide waxed ponchos to protect both you and your saddle.
If you tend to get cold, bring an extra layer. We also recommend an outfit for the evening and swimwear. Wearing a helmet is mandatory, and NOOR provides new caps to its clients. If you prefer to bring your own, you are welcome to do so.
